TRIOTECH is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Charles Sirois to the company’s Board of Directors. Mr. Sirois joins the board at a time where the company is experiencing major international growth.

“Mr. Sirois is one of the pioneers of Quebec’s economic development. With extensive experience in high growth situations, he is in a position to make an important contribution to TRIOTECH,” said Ernest Yale, the company’s founder and CEO. “As we are growing rapidly and developing new markets all over the world, it is a privilege to see an entrepreneur of Mr. Sirois’ caliber join our board at this time.”

Over the past 40 years, Charles Sirois made his mark in the telecommunications industry, having been President and CEO of both BCE Mobile and Teleglobe. He also founded Telesystem International Wireless, an important global telecommunications operator, as well as Microcell Telecommunications, better known as the Fido brand. In addition, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) from 1997 to 2015, and served as its Chairman from 2009 to 2015.

Mr. Sirois is a member of the Order of Canada and was designated Knight of the National Order of Quebec. He was also named to the Canadian Telecommunications Hall of Fame, in addition to being awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
